As a tradition every family brought their own dish and imagine the feasting when all foods are arranged in a long table as shown in the album.
When everyone enjoyed the food, we had a family devotion where we meditated on meaning of Christmas and the reaction of 3 characters in Luke chapter 2 i.e. the crowd, shepherds and Mary.
Each child shared their thoughts of the meaning of Christmas and we commended each parent for keeping the kids from commercialism and teaching them that the reason of the season is Jesus, the Saviour of the world. We want to be identified with the shepherds and Mary who worshiped, treasured and spread the good news. Unlike the crowd, where there was no room for them to welcome Jesus.
After the devotion came the gift giving and program. Despite the recession, everyone had something to open and enjoyed the laughter and fun of the family program. We played Pinoy henyo, Deal or no Deal and much more.
The winner of this year's family feud is the Nicolas family who will be enjoying to see the Raptor's game plus other prizes. When all things got settled and done, most of the family stayed overnight and enjoyed another holiday called boxing day.
